There are two creative aspects in making a CD--the music part and the visual (ie. the cover insert.) This summer the girls scheduled two photo shoots in an effort to come up with some great pictures for the cover and insert.
The album they are working on includes both new and traditional Folk/Americana music, but even the new music has an old-time feel--thus the album title Old Time Noise. They decided on some outside shots in an effort to capture this theme, and chose an old bridge south of the Shaw bluff, a place they often ride their horses.
The album has a couple of railroad songs on it, so they wanted some shots on the railroad tracks north of Erie.
Our photographer, Angelyn Hobson, captured some fantastic expressions here.
Next up, they had pictures taken on a gorgeous porch in Erie. The girls changed outfits and pulled out their new instruments for this segment.
Everyone should have a chance to sip lemonade and relax with some music on a porch swing.
Their last stop that morning was their Grandma Vogts' house, where they had some shots taken in her sun room. All-in-all it was a fun morning, but the girls did get a little tired of smiling.
