2016 was a great year for us!
We held 58 performances (a record for us), met such lovely people, and visited so many interesting places.
We want to thank all who have befriended us and supported our music these past four years.
Here are a few of last year's highlights
We started January off with performances at two of our favorite coffee houses
(despite the removal of Maggie's wisdom teeth--and her ensuing recovery).
In February, we struggled through the entire month with colds and flues but managed two performances in Pittsburg and Parsons.
We performed at the Neodesha Arts Center in March
and began recording our third album with Kelly Werts at Wert's Recording Studio.
April saw us through five performances and continued work on our album, including a guest appearance
for the Cowboy Cabaret at the Lawrence Arts Center and performances at Pioneer Bluffs and The Coda in Kansas City, MO.
Festivals filled the months of May and June including the Kansas Sampler Festival in Winfield,
Good Ol Days in Fort Scott, Cow Creek Bluegrass Festival in Pittsburg, and Washunga Days in Council Grove.
We scheduled our first Colorado Music Tour in June--performing at nine venues in 11 days.
We saw miles and miles of beautiful scenery and met such wonderful folks on this trip.
Highlight performances included the Wright Opera House in Ouray and a Sunday's at Six Concert in Alamosa.
Our third album, HOMEWARD, launched in July at the Fire Escape Coffeehouse. We also held launch performances at the Remnant Cafe, The Artichoke Sandwich Bar, and Homer's Coffee House.
In August, we performed at the Big Spring Bluegrass Festival in Neosho, MO
and traveled to Mountain View, AR to perform at the Ozark Folk Center.
September's highlight was the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS where we had "cameo" performances on three festival stages.
We also traveled to Hutchinson to the Kansas State Fair,
and held our first performance at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts in Pittsburg.
In October, we shared the stage with The Elders at the Eureka Springs City Auditorium at the Ozark Folk Festival. What a hoot that was! Such memories!
We closed the year with performances in Joplin, Emporia, Wichita, and Overland Park.
It was such great fun to end November with so many familiar faces at the Donut Whole and at Homer's Coffee House. Thank you for your friendship and support! We look forward to sharing new music with you in 2017!
